Tl'etinqox Departments
 

Welcome to Tl'etinqox, one of the six Tsilhqot'in communities in British Columbia. Our departments work collaboratively to enhance the well-being of our people, preserve our culture, and support sustainable community development. Below is an overview of our key departments and their roles in serving the Tl'etinqox Nation.

Administration

Our Administration Department provides essential governance and operational support, ensuring the smooth delivery of programs and services. It oversees community planning, finance, and intergovernmental relations to support the leadership and vision of Tl'etinqox.

Education & Training

Dedicated to lifelong learning, this department supports students from early childhood to post-secondary education. It manages Tl’etinqox School, scholarship programs, adult education initiatives, and partnerships with educational institutions to create opportunities for our members.

Health 

The Health  Department offers holistic care services, including primary healthcare, mental health support, addiction services, and wellness programs. We are committed to promoting the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our people.

Community Development

Our Community Development team provides assistance programs, family support services, and initiatives to enhance the quality of life for community members. This includes Social Assistance assistance, Women/Men/Youth Wellness programs, and child and family services.

Economic Development

Focusing on sustainable growth, this department supports local businesses, employment opportunities, and economic initiatives that benefit the community. It oversees community-owned enterprises and fosters entrepreneurship within Tl'etinqox.

Lands & Natural Resources

Protecting and managing Tl'etinqox traditional lands is a priority. This department works on land stewardship, environmental conservation, forestry, and resource management to ensure responsible land use for future generations.

Public Works & Infrastructure

Our Public Works team ensures the maintenance and development of community infrastructure, including roads, water systems, and public buildings. They also lead emergency preparedness and disaster response efforts.

Culture & Language Revitalization

The preservation of the Tsilhqot'in language and traditions is at the heart of our cultural department. This team organizes language classes, cultural events, and heritage preservation projects to keep our identity strong
